Stabilizer Taking Shape

Posted on Updated on

The first few parts of the stabilizer are glued. Bottom part of center rib and front nose block.

The block was held in place with staples.

The RS-9 block that attaches the stab to the fuselage was glued in place and secured with staples.

The rear verticle RS-5 on the center rib was glued in place, used my drill bits to hold in there.

The left and right outer ribs were glued, stapled and weight placed on top to keep things together while the glue dries. You can see the aluminum straight edge and some scrap wood pieces I stapled to the workbench to keep the spar from moving.

Once this is dry I will start working on the RS-17 ribs.
